The network was originally founded in 2008 by George Zarifis, Larissa Jõgi and Wolfgang Jütte. The Network founders were also its co-conveners until December 2019. From January 2020 Maria Gravani and Susanne Lattke joined the network as co-conveners.

The Network is currently open to both ESREA and non-ESREA members alike. Interested parties can participate to conference meetings the themes of which are normally announced a year prior to the event. The meetings last no more than three (3) days and essentially are organised during weekends for the convenience of the participants. ESREA and network members as well as all interested parties will be constantly informed on the activities of ReNAdET, through this website, but also through the ESREA website and the ESREA newsletter.
